mademoiselle jules mlle auto moda fashion show

It was great participating in the Auto Moda Fashion Show Fundraiser benefitting the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of the Jewish General Hospital.  It was an amazing philanthropic event.

Through the event, the hospital raised 65 000$ to purchase a highly specialized incubator called the Giraffe Incubator. The Giraffe Incubator is known to promote the growth and stability of newborns through exceptional thermal performance, innovative design, controlled heat, humidity, oxygen, light and noise all the while providing a comfortable, easy to access environment to caregivers and parents.

The Fashion Show was a big success considering it was only the second edition. Over 300 guests attended the evening surrounded by luxury cars provided by Decarie Motors and fashion trends from Europa Boutique.  It was also the perfect setting and opportunity to honor one of the greats in the neonatal field, NICU Chief of Pediatrics and Neonatology at the JGH, Dr. Apostolos Papageorgiou who marked his 40 year tenure at the JGH.

For 40 years, the NICU at the JGH has been designated a high-risk perinatal referral center by the Quebec government, providing highly specialized services for mothers and premature babies from across the province. The Unit has been able to maintain the best provincial newborn survival rate record, including holding the record for the smallest newborn ever to survive, weighing only 375 g (0.827 lb) at birth.

Five Montreal Alouettes Players hit the runway : Eric DeslauriersAlex BrinkJonathan CromptonBrandon London and Tanner Marsh.  Also strutting down the runway were star actor in 19-2 Adrian Holmes and Miss Teen Quebec 2014 Pamela Pagano.

It was great evening for networking, with delicious sushi from Mikado, salads from Mandy's and juices from Re-juice, to name a few.
