It’s so amazing when incredible events in the fashion world happen right in my hometown. It’s been years in the making and now it’s finally happening: the new beauty space is finally open at Holt Renfrew Ogilvy.
The official opening of the joint stores is happening sometime in 2020, but as a little teaser, the beauty department is outstanding!
I have a serious beauty product fetish. Up until recently (cough cough, Thursday), certain brands were unavailable in Montreal. Now that the new Holt Renfrew Ogilvy beauty destination is opened, all of my favourites brands are not only available, but all under the same roof!
This past Thursday, for those who saw my Instagram stories blow up, Holt Renfrew Ogilvy hosted a breakfast by catered by Société Traiteur to officially launch their new opening. So many amazing people came out, from influencers and local celebrities to makeup artists and fashion stylists. Taking a private tour of the new space and enjoying a delicious opportunity to meet-and-greet with Montreal’s who’s who, I was just floored at how amazing the whole event was.
Charlotte Tilbury is a long-time favourite of mine. I use so many of her products and boast about how incredible the brand is. Well, without further ado, Charlotte Tilbury has a full range of products available at Holt Renfrew Ogilvy and now I can continue to shop a local boutique as I amass more Charlotte Tilbury products (yes please!).
When Charlotte Tilbury originally launched the collection Pillow Talk, people went wild and obviously the entire collection sold out immediately. The brand’s beloved Pillow Talk is now available as a permanent part of the cosmetic company’s product line up and is available at… wait for it… Holt Renfrew Ogilvy!
Is anyone else as excited as I am about all of this?!
Their colour palettes are super on trend right now and I also really love their branding. Each product looks like the perfect little jewel sitting on the top of my makeup counter.
Perfumed oils, scented candles, and perfumes, welcome to Gucci. The Alchemist’s Garden (which by the way is such a sexy and evocative name for a collection) is legit a dream place to spend an afternoon. Their scents range from lavender and woodsy to rose and cypress. Gucci made fragrance into a magical world with their unique spin on perfume and packaging.
Then of course, there is one of my all time favourite brands sitting there waiting for me to come and explore… Guerlain put together a concept store that is totally one-of-a-kind here in Montreal.
Guerlain put together an exclusivity with Canada, and right now in Montreal, we are the only ones to have the power to personalize our own perfume thanks to the scents created by Guerlain. I might have spent a little too much time at the Guerlain counter, but it was so worth it. I came away with an amazing perfume and I am the only one to have it because I created it!
I picked my bottle and chose my scent and if that weren’t enough, I also got to personalize the whole package by putting my name on the bottle. It’s such a fantastic concept and makes a wonderful gift for someone. I’m super into scented candles and perfumes so this idea just really caught my attention.
The Holt Renfrew Ogilvy Beauty space has everything from Givenchy, Clé de peau, and Dior to YSL, Chanel, Armani, Valmont and many more … Montreal has always been a great hub for fashion and beauty, but honestly, this store just upped the ante - we are now serious contenders across the national and international borders. We have it all and it’s all under one roof!
No matter where I shop, I always look for the seal of Clean beauty approval. I like to be sure that I’m using safe products that were thoughtfully created to ensure that I am not using any harmful ingredients on my skin. Holt Renfrew Ogilvy has an entire section of clean products that are all spectacular. I can’t wait to dive in and get to know all the different beauty lines so I can review them for you.
If I haven’t said it enough, there’s nothing I love more than supporting local business. A few years ago when rumours were buzzing about Holt Renfrew potentially closing and then merging with Ogilvy, the whole city was dumbfounded at potentially losing one of Montreal’s fashion and beauty landmarks. Well, the events from Thursday morning prove that Holt Renfrew Ogilvy isn’t going anywhere, and is back and better than ever. Great job HRO! #holtadoremontreal
