Experiencing NYFW for the first time last year was incredible, but unfortunately I had to cut my trip early and didn’t catch all the shows I had planned to see. When I received my invitations this season, not even the fact that I’m 21 weeks pregnant could stop me from attending!

Finding the balance between being a mom and lifestyle blogger isn’t easy. I’m always juggling caring for my daughters with the chaos of store openings, restaurant tastings, photo-shoots and the rest. With my hubby constantly travelling for work, slipping away to attend Fashion Week isn’t an easy feat. But I wasn’t going to pass up the chance to support a few of my favorite Canadian designers, so I convinced my mom to take over at home so that I can experience Toronto’s WMC Fashion Week in 24 hours. 

There are certain moments that all fashion bloggers anticipate and being invited to New York Fashion Week is definitely at the top of the list. What better way to make my debut in the city that never sleeps than to attend BCBG Max Azria’s Spring-Summer 2016 runway show. With my photographer by my side and more luggage than I’m willing to admit for such a short getaway, it was time to experience the chaos of NYFW.

For Spring 2016, BCBGMAXAZRIA RUNWAY embraces its California roots, fusing a youthful spirit – fluent in the cultures of surf, skate and music – in an innate play on new proportions and “So-Cal” street edge.
