With the cold weather quickly creeping up on us, we couldn’t be more thrilled with the opening of Mackage. This October, the brand known for their figure flattering outerwear celebrated their first-ever Canadian retail store in Carrefour Laval.

Mackage was established in 1999 by creative geniuses Eran Elfassy and Elisa Dahan. These young entrepreneurs are international leaders in outerwear and continue to grow their business exponentially, recently adding a children’s outerwear line as well as a handbag collection. Elisa couldn’t be more inspirational as she flawlessly balances her career and family in stilettos, with 3 kids and a newborn 2 month old at her hip.

Household names in the fashion scene, like Alexander Kenton and the blondes behind Beckerman Blog, gathered to revel over the new collections in the warm & minimalist space. Alpine scenes line the walls strewn with fur-trimmed parkas. Marble & wood details add to the luxurious ambiance of the boutique filled with rich leather handbags and premium outerwear.

I’m coveting everything from their fall/winter collection! Their structured bags with the signature silver arrow detailing are a definite must-have. Besides being stunning, Mackage coats are carefully crafted with the best technology and materials to keep you warm and protected from exterior elements.

Mackage parties are always meticulously planned and the extra attention to details goes a very long way! There were two DJ’s, Abeille & YoC, creating the ultimate vibe while we were served delicious finger food from Miss Prêt à manger and cocktails. There was a claw machine filled with amazing prizes like gift certificates, handbags & accessories (Does it get better or more generous than this?!). After taking a few Polaroid (Instaprint) pics and receiving fab gift bags, we headed to Soubois with the designers for a dinner party.

Since most of my favorite shops are located on busy streets, parking can get tricky. What I love about heading to Carrefour Laval (especially during the winter…brrr!) is the ease and convenience of having all these shops under one roof. Get winter-ready by heading to Mackage!
