In LOVE with Aquazurra
You don’t have to be a fashion fanatic to appreciate the quality design and aesthetic that Aquazzura footwear is known for. The Florence-based brand is behind the must-have shoes of the year that are all over social media, as well as the industries biggest influencers. Designed for the modern woman, Aquazzura creates glamorous shoes with stunning details offering the best in style and comfort.
Edgardo Osorio is the founder and creative genius behind the most covetable footwear of the year. He founded Aquazzura in 2011 and has since received widespread acclaim for his dramatic, feminine designs. Everyone in the industry is praising his natural talent and infinite drive to have achieved such monumental success under 30.
Being such a super fan of the brand, I was overjoyed to meet Edgardo! He was so friendly and had this magnetic charm that made me want to sit and talk to him all evening. He shared with me that he started designing shoes at only 14 and immersed himself into the world of high fashion soon after. His passion and drive is beyond inspirational. He happily signed the sole of my shoes and made two gorgeous illustrations that I can’t wait to frame.
Whenever I’m shopping in the shoe department, my eyes are always drawn to Aquazurra. I’ve been trying to get my hands on the Wild Things strappy sandals since they were released. The slinky shoe has been sold out in every location for months and despite being on waiting lists, I hadn’t gotten them yet! As soon as I arrived at the Holt’s event, I ran straight to the poppy red suede stilettos and claimed my pair! I’ll never get enough of the fringe-trim toe band and feminine details.
Despite how intimidating they may appear, Aquazzura heels are incredibly comfortable and well balanced. The Amazon pump was my go-to pick for a hectic experience at New York Fashion Week. I ran around the city, to and from all my appointments and the shoes, even in the rain, without a hint of discomfort.
The evening couldn’t have been a bigger success! Aside from getting to meet one of my favorite designers in the flesh, I couldn’t be more excited about bringing the Wild Thing sandals along with personalized illustrations. A big thanks to Holt Renfrew for another amazing event!
