Aurum Activewear

As you all know, I have a post baby body and it has to go, like pronto, so I have been very committed to my workouts 4 to 5 days a week with Body Barre Movement. With the desire to have my body back came a desire for some new activewear and in my search for something fresh and different, I discovered the brand Aurum.

I decided to show off my post baby body, this is the "BEFORE" picture, can't wait to show you in a few months the "AFTER" picture!

Aurum is a brand of activewear born of a lifelong friendship and a dedication to living healthy lives. Their name means gold in Latin and it is said that gold captures and safeguards solar light and as a result, exudes divine intelligence.

Speaking of intelligence, this local Montréal brand (#supportlocal) has hit the nail on the head with their innovative material. They have spent years of research and development creating what they like to call the "perfect fabric". This "perfect fabric" is incredibly comfortable and figure-flattering (yay!) but most importantly, it keeps you dry. What really got my attention though was the extra attention they paid to the inside of their pants that makes their activewear worthwhile. They added an extra piece of their fabric, much like built-in underwear for support and extra-wicking, so if you are the type who goes commando or loathes having that lovely (and embarrassing, no I did not pee my pants!) sweat spot in between your legs, then this detail is for you! Also:  #nocameltoe. In addition, some of their models are high-waisted which is fantastic for my stomach cause I definitely need extra lower belly support these days #tummytuck without the surgery ;)

Aurum also created a very comfortable and flattering sports bra. What makes this piece so great is that the elastics keeping the bra together are not ridiculously tight that you end up with extra fat bulging up the top and out the sides like bread baking. Another bonus feature is the support it gives to your girls without making you look like an ironing board.

This is one of their sports bras worn by one of the founders of the brand. Yes, I wrote founders. I would not stand next to her to workout at any given moment, in fact I would probably run the other way and hide in the back given my current state, but man does she not inspire you to achieve your fitness goals!!! She sure does for me.

And last, but definitely not least is my all-time favourite piece in their collection: the one piece bodysuit with sexy, trendy mesh down the sides of the legs. I'm not exactly ready to strut around in it like catwoman yet, so I am layering it with tanks and tees and we all know layering is in ;)

Did I also mention that their line is great to wear for the gym AND day-to-day activities!!! Score!!!  So if you would like to add some variety to your already kickass activewear wardrobe, check out Aurum. It's as good as gold.
