The versatility of MISA

Every time I hit up MISA Los Angeles, I feel inundated with style inspiration and find myself at those impossible decisions of how to pick what to buy. Basically, what I’m saying is that MISA Los Angeles hits the nail on the design head each and every season, and this season is no exception.

I wanted to create a look that would work for a daytime event while still feeling relevant for day time hangs. A versatile outfit that would take me through the day in style. I also knew that I was in the mood to wear a simple colour palette, but true to form, I wanted to bring in an element of print or pattern for added edge.

MISA is full of patterns, so it was an easy challenge. I nabbed the Evienne skirt, which has the perfect everyday silhouette. Cut in olive ikat cotton, the skirt is tiered in ruffles and is easy to coordinate with either a simple black, white, or any colour top. I decided to create the full look.

By pairing with the Luz top, I took a classic skirt and created what MISA had in mind: a bold and fashion-forward look. Also handcrafted from olive ikat cotton, this flirty sweetheart neckline fits perfectly with the skirt and the Neva necklace. Like an optical illusion, it looks like a dress because the prints are a perfect match, but by buying two separate pieces, I created infinite outfit options for future inspo.

The print instantly caught my eye. It was a toss up between the skirt and the Vega pant because the idea of a jumpsuit really excited me, but alas, the hot weather begged for an exposed leg. I do have it saved in my cart along with the Merida top, which also has the same print but is long sleeves, so it’s perfect for autumn.

MISA embodies everything I love about fashion: feminine with edge, flirty and patterned, loose silhouettes, and inspired by travel, art, and design. Bohemian at heart, the effortless style breed confidence and the detail in each piece makes MISA a strong contender in the fashion world.

Part of the MISA motto since 2016 is fulfilling the mission of making each piece versatile enough to go from day to night, weekday to weekend, and professional to vacation – this is the kind of brand I live by in these busy summer days.
