City Guide - Tignes
Right now, I’m in the French Alps, living out a very special moment—one that’s been on my mom’s bucket list for years. She always dreamed of skiing in Europe with her kids and grandkids, and for her upcoming 70th birthday, she decided it was time to finally check that one off the list while she’s still in great shape.
So here we are, celebrating her, and what a full-circle moment it is. She’s an incredible skier and passed down her love for the sport to my brother and me. Both of my parents met on the ski hill, so skiing has always been part of our family story. We started at a very young age, and it’s a passion that’s stayed with us.
Naturally, I wanted to pass that same love on to my kids. I’ve made it a point to take them skiing every weekend since they were little, knowing that loving a winter sport makes the season so much easier. But beyond the sport itself, skiing is about family, togetherness, the après-ski moments, and the joy of being outdoors.
I couldn’t be happier that my kids get to experience the European ski culture and share this incredible first-time adventure with their grandmother. Moments like these are what life is all about.
Special shoutout to my little man! Only 8 years old, and he skied like a true champion—keeping up with us the entire time without a single complaint. His resilience, determination, and love for skiing made me so proud. Watching him embrace the sport with so much joy and confidence is everything I could hope for. Proud mommy moment!
