The little black dress has been a wardrobe staple for women throughout history. It should be the one item in your closet that you can wear with absolute ease and confidence for an evening out. This season, I fell head over heel in love with a variation of the LBD, the iconic tuxedo dress.

In 1966, Yves Saint Laurent’s reinterpretation of menswear led to his creation of the female tux, which he named Le Smoking. From form fitting blazers paired with sleek pants to variations of the two-piece suit, tailored looks took over the fashion scene. YSL continued to reinvent the style for seasons to come where he eventually introduced the tuxedo dress. Though the neck & hemlines vary, the sultry and sexy nature of the look remains a striking feature to all.
