Gray Matters
I love that store because their collections are always elegant, modern and eclectic, and the in house stylist, Brandon Fogel, is not only super friendly but also has incredible taste and gives the royal care to each client. They have boutiques in New York, L.A and San Francisco, but my favorite is Miami because I get to see Brandon!
As soon as I laid eyes on this Soyer jacket, I knew I fell in love. I had mentioned earlier that grey was my neutral of the year, and the luxurious feel of it reminded me of a Celine staple.
But it’s only when I came back to Montreal that I understood its true genius. Either first hand or only by reputation, most of you know how incredibly long and cold Montreal winters are. This jacket was absolutely gorgeous and also felt like I was wrapped in a blanket. I was able to wear it all winter, sometimes slipping a thin down jacket under it, and I am still rocking it almost into May.
I had never heard of Soyer before, and now I am completely in love with the brand. They are from Los Angeles, and still sold only in a few places. The designer Soyun Shin’s minimalist, luxurious aesthetic is all you could dream of sweaters and knit dresses from heaven.
This jacket became the centerpiece of my wardrobe this year. I wore it at night dressed up to go out on the town and in the morning with sneakers to go drop off my girls at school. I’ve owned so many coats and this is by far the most versatile.
I can’t wait to see what beautiful collection Soyer will come up with next, and maybe have a vendor here in Montreal! Meanwhile, I leave it to Curve Miami to make me discover the new up and coming designers, and they will!
