Ville de montreal grand prix weekend 2015

It’s finally here, the weekend we’ve all been waiting for: Grand Prix 2015! This is definitely one of the summer’s most anticipated events where the champagne will overflow, and dozens of swanky affairs happening from day to night. After a week of prepping outfits, beauty maintenance and sorting through an influx of invites, I’m ready to hit the town full force and celebrate the festivities in style.

In light of it all, I’ve decided to post a personal guide to Grand Prix weekend! I hope to run into you at the following events…

Soubois- June 4-7

The newest hot spot in the city is Soubois's official opening this weekend. This supperclub will for sure be a huge success no doubt due to the quality of their delicious dishes, beautiful design and great vibe.

Flyjin – June 4-7

On any given weekend, this supperclub is a Montreal hotspot, so you can only imagine what this weekends events will be like! They have an amazing line up of DJ’s every night and a Fly1 closing party on Sunday to wrap things up. Make sure to reserve your tables in advance!

Jatoba – June 4 : 5-7 pm

One of my favorite restaurants is opening their Terrasse tonight! Following cocktail hour, there will be the reveal of their Grand Prix menu by renowned chefs Olivier Vigneault and Antonio Park. My mouth is watering just thinking about it lol #foodie! We’ll end the night with some dancing and look forward to everything else they have lined up for the weekend!

Bagatelle  F1 Pop Up Brunch @ Auberge Saint Gabriel – June 6 : 12pm-8pm

Need I say more than Bagatelle day party?! These events are always full of champagne, dancing, and Montreal’s finest all looking to let loose and have an amazing time. Meet me for a cocktail!

Save the best for last! I on the other hand am not sure how my weekend will play out, being on mommy duty and all... and definitely no longer being in my twenties... For those who can make it till Sunday, there is the Official F1 closing party which will take place on Sunday at the Auberge St-Gabriel co-produce by Marco Benattar and Nic Urli where Guy Laliberté (founder of Cirque du Soleil) will be with VIP guests, I promise a social scene! This event is the cherry on the sunday!!!

Rue Saint Paul – June 4-7

The entire street from east to west will be blocked off in honour of F1 weekend. Here you can expect to find packed terraces, outdoor grills, assorted street food, live entertainment, shopping galore, street performers and artists, as well as DJ’s spinning at various locations! The transition into night will entail Montreal’s hottest restaurants and bars offering exclusive menu items and cocktails. Expect to spot local celebrities and a non-stop party all day and night! While you are in the heart of Old Montreal, stop by Harlow situated at Place Jacques Cartier. They too will have the Grand Prix fever with festivities all weekend!

As if I don’t already have my hands full with all these events, I also have one of my best girlfriend’s 40th birthday this Friday! This private event will entail burlesque dancers and David Morales spinning for us into the late hours of the night. I couldn’t be more excited to celebrate!  He will be also playing with Jojo Flores at Peopl on Saturday night.

Happy b-day Lori :-)

As for Saturday evening, I’ll be attending a private BBQ and party at the infamous Guy Laliberté’s house. I can only imagine how extravagant and over-the-top this will be and I have the perfect outfit planned!

If you are in the mood for a little gem head to Mlle Butterfly. It maybe off the Grand Prix circuit path but is definitely worth the detour. It is situated at the Shinji Bar and be sure to say hello to the owner and one of my closest friends Marie-Eve Blackburn. She will take very good care of you!

On that note, I’m off to get pampered before all of the chaos unfolds. I wish you all an exciting weekend full of adventure and can’t wait to share my moments with you on Instagram!
