It’s nearing on almost 40 years since Michael Kors first launched his eponymous collection. What a ride it’s been! World-renown and award-winning, Michael Kors is a household name, and what an honour it is that Michaels Kors’ headquarters and now, flagship store are both located here, in Montreal.

It was on Friday, November 22, 2019 that the flagship store opened its doors for its official Montreal welcome. I am definitely not a newcomer when it comes to all things Michael Kors,, but I have to say, I have never seen something like this. I was blown out of the park… or shall I say, bank? Here’s why.

Michael Kors is located in a historic building which was a former bank. Replete with 20-foot ceilings and a 9,000 square-foot shopping space, the store spans several floors and all of the Michael Kors labels: MICHAEL Michael Kors, Michael Kors Collection, and Michael Kors Men. Whatever your shopping needs are, this store will deliver. Jewelry, watches, shoes, outerwear, handbags and stunning clothing collections.

The décor has intimate elements of exposed brick and stone fixtures. The overall feel of the store is luxurious and you can feel it walking through the store: brushed stainless shelves, high-end fashion all around and a 3rd floor for private appointments. Michael Kors 1133 (named after the store’s address) is meant to host exclusive events and showcase a curated selection of Michael Kors collections.

Michael Kors is known for their indulgent and dynamic jet-set fashion. Practical and sensible, Michael Kors can take you from a black-tie affair to a beachside vacation and everything in between. Their outerwear is perfect to withstand our weather, yet still allow you to look polished at the office.

Like most brands, Michael Kors has been naturally evolving to best reflect its customers’ needs and wants over the years. Regardless of the direction the brand goes in, that jet-set lifestyle is more relevant now than ever with that on-the-go mentality that is ever so present.

More than just a brand, Michael Kors also encompasses a lifestyle. That’s what makes this flagship store even more special. Michael Kors launched a new partnership with Rejuice! Nutrition, owned and operated by Joanna Barcessat, a vegan organic juice and salad bar. Promoting healthy living, the café styled store-in-store concept allows shoppers to unwind and relax on their busy work or shopping day.

This corner mega-store will attract local shoppers and tourists alike. The imagery, the music, the energy and the luxurious service are but a few of the reasons people will be magnetically drawn to the store. Once they’re in, there is just so much to look at and try on, no matter the season or reason.
