Self-Care with Blu Wellbeing

Self-care. It’s on everyone’s mind, we all talk about it, but what does it even mean? Does it mean putting yourself first? Making sure you have time for yourself? Does it mean taking a minute to clear your mind? Or is it simply a state of mind

I think self-care means something different to everyone – and for me, self-care is about making sure that amidst the chaos of everyday life, I take time to myself and do whatever it is that will make me feel peaceful, relaxed and aligned.

One of my favourite things (and I’m sure most would agree with this) is getting a massage. No matter where I am in the world, no matter the time of day or day of the week, if you tell me I can get a massage, I’m already halfway there! But, if I had to create the perfect experience, I’d get a massage at home every single time.

When Isabelle, the owner of Blu WellBeing, comes to my home, I know that I can just abandon all sense of time and sink into relaxation mode. No rushing to get dressed and driving home – just deep rest and maybe a bath. Yum!

Blu WellBeing is a traveling, in-home massage company. Even when the whole city went into lockdown, massages were considered essential (because they are!) and so she has been going at it straight through helping people feel the necessary benefits of taking an hour to themselves.

One of the elements I truly love about Blu WellBeing is that you can personalize your massage experience with her a la carte style menu – you can mix and match styles to target all the things you like and need. I personally love a 15-minute foot massage added onto an hour deep tissue plus the products I need for a detox bath post-massage. Isabelle is also a Reiki master so she has me covered when I’m feeling stressed, anxious or just generally uneasy (um, yeah, all year!).

I’m asked all the time for massage contacts and so this post is all about celebrating my love for some of the home-workers who have been going strong this year making sure that all of us are feeling calm and relaxed.
