Mlle Jules turns 7!
It started as an idea. A little thought about how to keep busy while also staying creative. It was a space just for me to talk about the things I loved and why I love them – mostly food sprinkled in with a little fashion and beauty products, always focused on my love for my city. And then, 7 years later, here we are – celebrating another incredible year as Mlle Jules!
Throughout the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with such incredible brands and collab with unparalleled talent. I have to say, I feel so fortunate to do what I love every day and share it all with all of you! This year has been particularly interesting as the pandemic has frozen so much of our usual day-to-day lives, forcing us all to pivot our businesses so as to reinvent and stay relevant in our new way of living.
I went from getting ready for events a few nights a week, to creating content about cooking and eating well at home. I went from two International Fashion Weeks a year to sweat pant parades while walking my dog. But, it’s all been such an adventure and I am so grateful that I have this platform, because it has honestly gotten me through this year more than I can admit.
The past 7 years have been a wild ride. Some of it was planned, like super carefully thought out and strategically crafted into the visual content and written stuff you see every day. But, and this is a big but, most of it has just been my life. Spontaneous. Constantly evolving. Growing. and although I am documenting it all, it sometimes feels like I am seriously just along for the ride, lol!
This year (like three days ago!), I launched my next big venture. It might feel like the obvious next step, but that cannot diminish how much work goes into it. My e-commerce site is a natural extension of my Mlle Jules site.
