LaMarque Spring Collection
With Paris Fashion Week in our rearview, I’m doing my research on what the latest and greatest takeaways are as we head into spring. There were a lot of trends that are being revamped and restyled, and one of them, I have to say, is a favourite of mine: the cropped blazer.
We’ve seen blazers make their way into our wardrobes for some years now. Between the more traditional take on a fitted blazer to the oversized boyfriend look, I’m obsessed with newest take. Something about a cropped blazer brings up that moto feel that lends perfectly to a layered look.
Creating the ultimate lengthening silhouette, LaMarque really hit the mark (yeah, pun intended) on everything from colourway to fit. Even the oversized button makes for an elevated and chic detail.
The Calatea vibrant green short sleeve blazer is semi-fitted, lamb leather and legit transforms any look from uni- to three-dimensional. Slightly padded shoulders and a retro touch, it’s the perfect cross between smart, casual, cool, and runway.
I love their spring collection – filled with loud colours, but also, a good array of neutrals. You can go more stark white with the Daria cropped leather jacket, or sesame, which is also a personal fave.

It’s the ultimate in effortless chic, and they are always pushing their creative vision to maintain that outstanding quality of carefully constructed pieces.
Since 2012, this Montreal (yup, their local) brand is truly making their mark on the fashion world. When I nabbed my samples, I was so excited by their spring colour palette. I was instantly drawn to the bright green jacket and their lavender blazer. I’ll be the one and only with the stunning dress-length lavender blazer since they chose not to produce that colour, but I’m not sad about it, because at least I have mine!
As we inch our way to spring, it’s time to spruce up that wardrobe with pieces that will create your signature look with the perfect accessories. If you’re a jeans and cami kind of chick or a little floral dress lady, the cropped blazer will be your go-to item all season. Just trust me on this one.
