Orange rose ice cubes

INGREDIENTS

  • Large silicone ice cube tray (I got mine from the dollar store!)*

  • Oranges

  • Water**

NOTES:

*For this recipe, it’s important to use a larger ice cube tray to accommodate the orange slices.

**Get creative! Pair these ice cubes with tonic, orange juice, or any liquid that complements your chosen drink.

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Slice the oranges into rounds. Halve some of these rounds to create smaller slices for the centre of the rose.

  2. Fold the round slices and arrange them in a deep ice cube tray, curling the slices inwards to form a rose shape. Use the halved orange slices for the “bud” of the rose.

  3. Add orange juice, water, tonic, or your liquid of choice (depending on the drink) to hold up the base. Be mindful not to pour too much to avoid submerging the rose.

  4. Freeze until set, and enjoy these Orange Rose Ice Cubes with your next drink of choice.
