Nespresso Iced Coconut Latté

Warm weather calls for the start of cold drink season! Instead of brewing my cozy warm latté, I've been enjoying a variety of refreshing beverages over ice. However, that doesn't mean I've completely abandoned my beloved coffee ritual. I still adore using my Nespresso Vertuo Pop machine, especially with their cold brew pods!

Coffee not only provides an energy boost but also contains essential vitamins and minerals like riboflavin, pantothenic acid, and magnesium. To enhance my coffee experience, I love adding a touch of coconut milk. Not only does it contribute to a creamy and sweet taste, but it's also rich in healthy fats and helps reduce LDL (bad cholesterol) levels in our bodies. The combination is simply irresistible!

Nespresso iced coconut Latté

INGREDIENTS 

  • 1 Nespresso Vertuo capsule of your choice* 

  • ¾ Cup milk of your choice**

  • 1 Cup ice cubes

  • 1 Tsp. real maple syrup (optional)

  • A pinch of cocoa powder (optional)

NOTES:

*I love using the Cold Brew Style Intense or the Tropical Coconut Flavour over ice - I switch between the two daily! If you don't have a Nespresso machine, no worries. You can use any 40mL coffee of your choice to recreate this delightful beverage.

**I usually reach for coconut milk, but you can use any dairy or plant-based milk of your choice.

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Brew your preferred Nespresso pod in your Vertuo machine into a demitasse.

  2. Place a handful of ice cubes into the bottom of a glass.

  3. Pour the freshly brewed espresso over the ice.

  4. Gently pour cold frothed milk over the ice and coffee, creating a layered effect.

  5. If desired, add a drizzle of maple syrup to enhance the flavour according to your preference. Garnish with a decorative touch, such as a coffee bean or a sprinkle of cocoa powder, and sip away!
