Pump x Fou d'Ici Collab

Over the years, I have come to truly love eating well. It hasn’t always been like that for me – I grew up eating really well, but as the daughter of a baker, there was always a wide array of carbs available. After I had my last kid, I worked really hard on myself, watching what I eat and working out a ton, and I saw my body transform. It was such a great feeling mentally and emotionally to look in the mirror and finally have a positive self-image. I attribute that not only to the physical way that I looked, but to the way it felt to take such good care of myself.

There is something so nourishing about eating nutritious, clean food. Aside from the obvious health benefits, it is like feeding your soul. I mean it! So when Val, from Vic Park collaborated with Fou D’Ici to create nutritious meals that are not only delicious but actually super healthy, I got so super excited!

The last 3 months have been hard on my mind and body – and like most people, my body bore the grunt of challenge. I ate more than usual, reached for less nutritious foods, and worked out less than I normally do. But the moment has passed and I’m done – I’m back on my health kick and the Pump x Fou d’Ici collab has already kicked my goal into high gear.

The Pump x Fou d’Ici collab launched a few weeks ago and I got my first box delivered filled with sumptuous meals that should last about 5 days (not in my house, but whatever!). I tried the spinach bites and Korean-style meatless zucchini noodles, and both were so filling and guilt-free, my kids loved them too! I personally love fish and the selection of fish dishes I tried were all so tasty – I got a salmon quinoa bowl, sesame tuna and lemon salmon, all of which are packed with protein and the perfect meal for post-workout or early evening dinner.

I am a huge advocate of supporting local – especially female-owned businesses, and these two entrepreneurs designed a meal program that makes my job easy. They deliver to your doorstep or you can arrange to pick up. Their menu is all online (linked here) so shopping is made super simple. Everything is gluten- and dairy-free ;)

One less thing to think about in our busy day – meal prep, Pump-approved… I mean, kind of a no-brainer. She trains me and kicks my butt into serious shape so I trust that if she recommends this meal program, then we’re good. Val even created a nutritional fact sheet to go along with each meal so you really know what you’re eating. A bullet-proof way to keep things balanced.

As most people already know about me, no meal is complete without a little something sweet, and the Pump x Fou d’Ici collab packed some yummy treats for me: red raspberry chia pudding, apple pie oatmeal and chocolate avocado mousse. O.M.G. it was all so good – I totally put my seal of approval on this collab and can’t wait to hear what all of you think about it. Try it out and let me know!
