Of all the beautiful things in life, can you name one something better than a warm day by the water, relaxing with family in the peace and quiet of the country air? OMG, nothing better than that in my books!

This summer has been a welcome break from the intensity of the last few months. My family is been holding up in our country home, enjoying family time, healthy meals, outdoor activities, and so much more. Sometimes, if I let my mind wander, I feel as though I’ve escaped to a remote island with all my favourite people.

We go back and forth a lot, which means I get to switch up the wardrobe choices and replenish with more goodies each time I pack up to head to the country. This last trip, I went on a quick shopping escapade to one of my favourite swimwear designers: Shan.

Whether I’m with my family or hosting friends, I always dress my best. I love choosing an outfit in the morning, going through my morning beauty routine and going about my day feeling and looking me best. Summertime brings on a whole new layer of pulling styles together, and this hot weather gives me the chance to make use of all my bathing suits that I am absolutely obsessed with. Admittedly, most of those are from Shan.

Shan uses incredibly long-lasting materials. The quality of the fabric is unparalleled. They design and manufacture in Canada, which is always a plus in my books #shoplocal! Their cuts are so flattering – in fact, sometimes I wear their swimsuits like a bodysuit, because they are so stylish and can be dressed up for that city vibe.

Whether it’s a day on the lake with my kids, a BBQ with family, or day party with friends, the Shan swimsuit collection has the perfect options. Poolside drinks? An embellished black one-piece! Lazy day on a paddle boat? Neutral tone swimsuit with breathable, lightweight fabric.
