CAFA 2026 Nomination

Four years ago, Mademoiselle Jules existed only as an idea. An idea that jewelry could be more personal. More adaptable. More reflective of the person wearing it. I wanted to create pieces that didn’t feel static, jewelry that could evolve with you, shift with your mood, and transform depending on the moment. Today, I’m incredibly honored to share that I’ve been nominated for the Emerging Talent Award – Accessories at the 2026 Canadian Arts & Fashion Awards. It’s a moment that feels both surreal and deeply meaningful.
I’ve attended the CAFA Awards in Toronto simply as a guest, sitting in the audience, watching and celebrating designers and creatives I admired. The event always felt like such a powerful celebration of Canadian fashion: a room filled with people who are building, shaping, and pushing the industry forward.
This year, for the first time, the awards are being held in Montreal, the city where I built my brand and where Mademoiselle Jules was born. And I’m so grateful that I’ll be attending not just as a guest, but as a nominee.
When I launched Mademoiselle Jules four years ago, I didn’t have a traditional roadmap. The brand was built largely on instinct, creativity, and a desire to rethink how jewelry could fit into everyday life.
The concept was simple but powerful: interchangeable jewelry designed for everyone.
I wanted pieces that could move with you throughout your day and your life. A pair of hoops that could become a necklace. Charms that could shift from subtle to bold. Jewelry that could be layered, rearranged, and personalized endlessly. Because style isn’t static.
Some days you want something minimal and refined. Other days you want something expressive and layered. Sometimes jewelry marks a moment, sometimes it elevates a simple outfit, and sometimes it’s simply a reflection of how you feel that day. Mademoiselle Jules was built around that freedom. The idea that jewelry should adapt to you, not the other way around.
Over the last four years, that small idea has grown into something I never could have imagined. What started as a personal creative project has become a brand worn by so many incredible people, supported by a community that continues to inspire me every day.
And while my vision for the brand continues to evolve, exploring new materials, creative directions, and ways to express the identity of Mademoiselle Jules, the heart of it remains the same: versatility, individuality, and self-expression.
This nomination feels like a recognition not just of me, but of everyone who has believed in this vision along the way. To everyone who has worn, shared, styled, or supported Mademoiselle Jules: thank you for being part of this journey. Seeing how you make the pieces your own is the reason I do this. And to be nominated alongside so many talented designers and creatives in the Canadian fashion industry is truly an honor. And this is only the beginning.
