Boyish Charm with Ben & Boule trading

From boyfriend tees, jeans, and blazers to oxfords and oversized watches, menswear has taken over the fashion scene. The mix of masculine structures with feminine silhouettes creates the perfect balance for creating contemporary looks. Instead of opting for menswear inspired looks, I explored the world of men’s clothing and collaborated with Ben & Boule Trading to find a few fall staples straight from the source.

Ben & Boule Trading is a menswear distribution house based out of Montreal. The company was founded by Ben Schubert, an ultra trendy and fashion forward young man who lives and breathes the brands he carries. Some of the luxury street-wear labels include Publish, Filling Pieces, Daniel Wellington, Defend Paris, Triwa, and Nicce.

Oversized sweaters are a huge part of menswear inspired fashion. This black and white number by Defend is great to throw on now that the weather is getting frosty. The stripe details make it super sporty so I paired it with leather shorts and over the knee boots for added femininity.

These baggy drop-crotch trousers are my favorite. Publish recently released their first women’s collection starring unisex looks like these olive army inspired pants. I paired them with a crisp white shirt and nude lace-up heels for some feminine flare.

You can never have enough denim shirts. They are incredibly versatile so you can wear them over lace detailed shorts for a polished casual look or dress it up by tucking it into a midi skirt. Pair it with the Nudist sandal and a fun hat for effortless style that you can take from day to night.

B&B also distributes MRKT bags, known for their clean lines and structured look. All of their other menswear brands offer ultra chic street wear inspired sweats that are just as flattering on women, like this distressed grey pair. They also have a great selection of drop-crotch and tapered leg trousers in emerald greens and rich burgundy, that I paired with an embellished sweater.

Head over to Somwhr (401 Notre Dame West) on Thursday October 22nd from 5-7pm to shop the best of Ben & Boule Trading’s Fall/Winter collection. You’ll also find pieces from blogger babe Julia Mateian’s Shop The 26th Look. See you all there xox
