BCBG Max Azria Runway NYFW SS16

For Spring 2016, BCBGMAXAZRIA RUNWAY embraces its California roots, fusing a youthful spirit – fluent in the cultures of surf, skate and music – in an innate play on new proportions and “So-Cal” street edge.

From sunrise into the sunset, gradating hues envelop the collection. Crisp whites, water-washed blues, golden yellows and shell pinks transition into pigment-dye indigo, henna and olive with a touch of gold.

A few of my favorite looks

Tie-dyed knits and sweaters, intricate patchwork fabrics and richly textural embroideries are cut in easy silhouettes and layered in an unexpected way.

Fringed moccasins, cross-body saddlebags and patchwork bucket hats characterize the eclectic collage of individual expression.

BCBGMAXAZRIA was founded in 1989 by Chief Executive Officer and Chairman Max Azria. In 1991, Azria’s wife, Lubov, joined BCBGMAXAZRIA as a pattern maker and today leads the brand as the Chief Creative Officer. Named for the French phrase bon chic, bon genre, a Parisian slang meaning “good style, good attitude,” the brand embodies a true combination of European sophistication and American spirit.  Max Azria broke new ground with the launch of BCBGMAXAZRIA, redefining the designer category by offering innovative, highquality clothing at contemporary price points. Under Lubov’s creative leadership, BCBGMAXAZRIA has become one of America’s leading design houses, with collections that span evening, cocktail dresses, sportswear separates, handbags, small leather goods and licensed outerwear, footwear, hats and swimwear.
