Spiritual Gangster

I remember when athleisure first came into vogue. The world was becoming more and more active, people were committing to higher and more intense levels of exercise and healthy living, and basically, the fashion world had to keep up.

Spiritual Gangster set the trend hard. I remember when I first heard the brand name, like many, I thought it was genius. Fusing two opposing worlds, spiritual gurus and gangster (in the sense of someone who is serious AF about committing to the thing they love, not the glorified violent street gangs!) – a serious combo of just how connected people were becoming even if they were from the most disparate groups.

Inspired by yogis, athletes, artists, musicians and basically anyone who has a passion and contributes to the world in a creative way – Spiritual Gangster believes in encouraging the connection you feel and wants to help you vibrate at your highest volume. And, if you’ve taken a look at their collection, you’ll understand why.

I believe it all started with a t-shirt and boy have they continued to up their game. Their graphic tees are all about spreading messages of positivity and promoting happiness. Their sweaters and sweat suits are made with fabrics that scream comfort and breathability.

Each item is jam-packed with good vibes – legit, they donate proceeds to help feed America. I think it’s something like 11 million meals donated to date, Spiritual Gangster has made a real-world impact in the fight against hunger as well as a fashion-impact in listening to the people, understanding the trend, and giving the people what we want!

If you have an active life, work out like the fierce gangster that you are, or simply love to live in loungewear, you probably already know about Spiritual Gangster. Show and Tell has been bringing them to us locally for years, and Billie le Kid has a great collection of their kids stuff.

I love finding a brand that makes incredible clothes that make me feel good when I wear them. Right? That’s the point? But, slap on a mission to do good, make people feel good, and in these times, continue to spread a message of connectivity and love… that’s the kind of company I can truly align with.
