Sun and Sandi

It's time for fun in the sun! With the cold weather approaching I went on a little getaway to Miami. As Montrealers, we all know the hot sun doesn’t last forever. We will soon be returning to the snow. So it’s essential that we soak up as much of it as possible when we are here in the Sunshine State.

This vacation, I have a few goals I’ve set for myself. I have been loving my journal practice and my new morning meditations. But, one thing I have really started to integrate into my routine and am hell-bent on sticking to is my newfound love for cycling and my old passion for running. I love exercising and being able to do so in the great outdoors is just such a treat.

Another goal is to find some downtime for myself. Walking on the beach is such a retreat away from urban life. We are so fortunate to be able to take a walk along the shoreline and just rest near a beautiful body of water.

As a part of my much needed R & R goal is the apparel that goes with it! Cuz why wouldn’t I use resting and relaxing as a way to incorporate my love for fashion!? I always find it essential to throw on a lightweight cover up – I’m not a huge fan of shorts and a tank when I’m wet from swimming or whatever. Plus, a sheer cover up adds a glam factor you just can't do elswhere.

I originally discovered Sandi Collection when I went off to Tulum, and I have to say, the comfort level, the luxury, the simplicity, and the functionality of the cover up all contributed to my quick love affair with this local, sustainable brand.

Each cover up is one-of-a-kind and is made from recycled fabric that this mom/entrepreneur up cycles to create glamorous looking throw overs for the pool (and pool party!), the lake (and beach vacation). Cut to me with my feet in the sand, draped in a sheer floral feeling like a sun goddess, lol! I was so happy to let people know that it’s a local, Montreal, female-owned business every time I was asked where I got my cover up.

Goals in tow, this vacation is set to be one for the books. I plan to spend even more romatic time with my husband and enjoy my friends. Youll definitely find me sweating in the sun working out and draping myself across a sun chair soaking in the heat… no matter what I’m doing, you know I’ll be doing it in style.
