You know that feeling you get when something super exciting happens and you can’t wait to share the news with all your friends!? That is legitimately how I felt when I originally found out that ba&sh was opening a flagship store in our very own city of Westmount!

You heard right. ba&sh is here and it is STUNNING! I got a sneak peek of the store at their soft open and I have returned at least 3 times since (ok, maybe 4 or 5!). The store is officially opened and everything from the design of the store to the fall collection is drop. dead. gorgeous.

I am in love with the colour palette: the soft blush tones set against the metal cage-like mezzanine, the black backdrop with a larger-than-life white petal decal, and the glass-encased mannequins… I mean, the store is a perfect combo of art gallery meets showroom meets boutique.

The boutique makes it easy to shop and stay with their very own Pastel Rita (@pastelrita) at the back of the store. They’ve integrated lounge-style seating so you don’t feel rushed… quite the contrary, you could spend a good amount of time in the ba&sh store eating, browsing, styling and trying on outfits and eating again – lol!

The collection this season is sensational. There are so many patterns and textures. There is everything from the simple romper to the unique evening dress. I am always in awe of how they come up with such intricate designs year after year.

Since 2003, Barbara Boccara and Sharon Krief (yes, they combined their names to make ba & sh) have been focusing on that synthesized feminine look that blends blend of bohemian and rock and roll. The palette for this season is warm and inviting and I just love the integration of wool, linen and suede – sometimes the most unlikely of pairings deliver the most stunning results.

The upscale brand attracts women of all ages and sizes – honestly, there is always something that will catch your eye and direct you to that fitting room! This leads me to even more exciting news: I will be hosting a personal shopping and styling event on September 23rd. The event will be divvied up into small groups so that I can safely help you shop the collection and offer creative styling tips.

I’ve been a loyal ba&sh aficionada for many years. I always found what I needed for Fashion Week or vacations and local events from their collections. You can find ba&sh at some of my favourite stores like TNT, Holt Renfrew Ogilvy and Hudson’s Bay, and now with the Westmount flagship store, we have yet one more beautiful option for all our shopping needs! (oh! and here’s another insider tip: I believe the Canadian e-commerce shop is coming soon!!!)
