Endless Summer Continues

Is it my vacations or the memories they hold that keep inspiring me? Conceptualizing and creating my Endless Summer Collection for Summer Memories just catapulted me back to Ibiza – that amazing experience I had many moons ago with my girlfriends to celebrate my engagement.

My proposal inspired my first collection, and so when I sat down to design part 2, I picked up exactly where I left off. When we arrived in Ibiza, my girlfriends did not let me even hit the hotel to change my clothes (cut to me changing in the parking lot!). Instead, we hopped off the plane and into the club! Pacha night club was an insane time. Everything from VIP-back-door entry to Roger Sanchez djing the party, we had such an incredible night.

I mean, we obviously knew how to party and being young and carefree, it’s that attitude and bon vivant feeling that inspired the Pacha necklace. Freshwater pearls & colourful glass seed beads remind me of listening to incredible music and dancing the night away.

Off we went to our guest house in a villa a short walk from Cala d’Hort. I named the earring Es Vedra for obvious reasons – but you would only know if you’ve been or seen pics. Basically, the view from our villa was of these stunning rocks that have this supernatural energy. Ibiza’s soil has extremely high levels of quartz crystal – some people even believe it’s what contributes to the island’s special powers. Either way, the view of these out of this world rocks are a visual sensation, and so I designed these earrings as an ode to the formation.

Side note – legend has it that the rocks are said to bring good luck – so slip these Summer Memories x Mlle Jules collab Es Vedra freshwater pearl earrings into your ears and feel the power!

The Formentera Choker – half beads half pearls – is named after the yacht trip we took in… you guessed it – Formentera! We took a day trip to an island near Ibiza and just had this amazing scenic view of the dunes and clear water. Literally what you’d see in a documentary of an exotic land! They had this famous mud bath that you take and once applied to the skin, you just let the mud do its magic. It was honestly an epic day trip and bachelorette!

I have always been of the school of thought that jewelry is supposed to mean something and always carries the weight of a special memory – either from the person who gave it to you or for the moment it was gifted. In this case, the special memories are from incredibly powerful moments in my life that have brought me immense richness and happiness. I am so grateful to inject all of the world’s wonders into each and every Endless Summer piece for Summer Memories. Enjoy and may each of these pieces bring beautiful memories into your lives as well!
