Nail, Nails, Nails!

Nail art has long been a way to express ourselves. I think I speak for everyone when I say, it’s time to declare nail art the newest fashion accessory.

From playing to colours to experimenting with shapes, our nails are a fun way to add a little something extra to any outfit. Personally, I’ve moved far past colors and shapes into a territory of design. Such a tiny little space of real estate, but they pack a lot of punch.

Every two weeks, I have the opportunity to revamp – I can go classic or wild. Lately I go from bold and bright to completely out there. I love a new take on the classic mani, I love the asymmetrical vibe, I’m super into color blocking, and of course, anything pop culture and playful.

So here’s the thing that’s important to consider when deciding what to do with your nails: you gotta think about upcoming events, trips, or outfits you have planned to ensure that your nails match whatever you have scheduled. I always plan my nails after I’ve decided my photo shoots along with my other accessories.

However, lately I’ve started going the other way around. I start with my nails and let them inspire an outfit. The truth is, the possibilities are endless, especially when it comes to playing with color.

Springtime is popping all around us and like the beautiful flowers that are starting to bloom, my prediction is that the mani/pedi colors are going more pastel (check out my blog on pastel colors for spring here), and floral prints.

Recently, we saw a neutral surge, but I’m telling you, now is the time to be adventurous and have fun with color. Out of the dark and dreary and into the sunny and hopeful! Who’s with me?!
