Neva's 10th bday!

Every year we throw together a birthday for our Neva and every year it’s an event we’ll never forget!

A sports lover and happy-go-lucky kid, Neva is an easy person to plan a party for. As long as there are games and yummy treats, and of course her friends and family, she’ll have an amazing time. Filled with smiles and lighthearted joy, all the kids had such a blast and it’s because of the incredible vendors who made the party come together!

Neva was very clear about her party theme: basketball! Everything from the games and activities to the cake and décor was on theme. Global Events brought the blow-up basketball game, the Strike a Light game, and they also supplied the food for the pizza party.

Obviously when it comes to kid parties, pizza is the easy go-to. But we hiked things up a notch – rather than order boxed pizza, we had Paesano Pizza – they came, they made the pizzas right there for us to order and it just made the party feel like an afternoon in the piazza.

The décor created an atmosphere of sports and leisure – filled with balloons from Love Your More balloons, the vibe definitely screamed dribble dribble (I may have Duke & Jones and Louis Theroux on my mind, lol!). The owner of @loveyoumore_balloons is so freakin’ talented and such an absolute joy to work with, it was such a pleasure to sit back and relax and have that part of the event be taken care of.

Lastly, the treats! I cannot express how delicious our yummy treats are in this city! Am I the only one who is in awe of the talent and taste of every boutique cupcake, cake, doughnut, cookie, ice cream vendor we have in Montreal!? First, let’s start with the basketball cake – what a sight for sore eyes and a flavour that packs a punch. Susucre MTL truly knocked it out of the park, or for the proper sports’ metaphor, slam dunked!

No event is complete without Doughnats – the bite-size doughnuts that legit took MTL by storm. We got basketball themed Doughnats and every bit was more sensational than the next. I love the cookies and the unique flavours of the seasonal doughnuts – the only problem is, I can’t ever just have one!

Finally, the dip… the perfect way to cool down on a hot summer day. La Diperie brought everything from the ice cream pops to the hot, delicious chocolate dip and of course the toppings, oh the toppings! Oreo, sprinkles, pretzels, you name, these kids ate it.
