Style from Summer to Fall

Rocking a floral maxi dress for summer is an easy look to put together, mostly because it fits the season’s blistering hot weather. Same goes for fall, throwing on a cozy turtleneck and leather leggings feels like the perfect way to celebrate the cool air. But transitional weather? Those days when it’s fresh in the morning and warm by midday… those are harder to dress for.

I just want to put this out there as a rule of thumb: when it comes to transitional season style, denim is my go-to. It’s versatile, it’s classic, it’s an overall winner. Especially since it goes with everything—from booties to sandals—and works super well for a September in the city.

Pairing my light jeans with a Pierre Louis Mascia mix-print shirt, I wove in colour with the unpredictable mix-and-match patterns that Pierre-Louis Mascia is so well known for. Superimposing and combining prints to create these incredible graphics, I absolutely love the play on colour and quilts this shirt puts forward.

Along with the sweetest By Far Orange Sandals , the look places the accent on bright orange and pulls everything together with the Jacquemus White “Le Chiquito Moyen” Bag. I love how the look feels fresh and summery, but still carries through to the warmth we need given the cool morning breeze.

Pierre-Louis Mascia was the perfect muse for my transition experiment. I love the Reversible “Adana” Quilted Kimono Jacket in Navy blue for a hundred and one reasons. First, the colour is so rich and deep, which already feels reminiscent of the energy all around us. Available @shop4110, Pierre-Louis Mascia has stunningly unique pieces, whenever I browse his shelves, I feel like I’m at an art gallery.

Then, to still get that lift I’m always after, the YSL Niki Booties pulls together the colourway of the look and also always me to get out my bootie thrills before the snow hits the ground.

No outfit is complete without accessories! I pulled from my own jewelry box for this look (and every other look lately!). All in one necklace - gold @bymademoisellejules, William necklace - silver @bymademoisellejules and the Spice it up earrings @bymademoisellejules  traipse my neck and ears to tell the story of street fashion. And finally, my Balmain Specs from Tris Coffin here in Montreal, because no matter the season, you’ll never catch me leave the house without a cool pair of sunnies
