The Guerlain Commitment

Guerlain has been adorning my bathroom counters and makeup cupboards for years. From their fragrant Aqua Allegoria perfume collection to their bronzers and lipsticks, I rave about Guerlain every chance I get. But now, I have yet another reason to go on and on about Guerlain.

The Guerlain commitment to sustainability has taken shape over the last decade or so (I think like 14 years!) in initiatives like protecting biodiversity, specifically bees. They also have a footprint reduction promise on the impact to the environment through sustainable packaging and traceability platforms, and finally, they have social impact beekeeping programs whereby they’ve partnered with UNESCO to raise awareness of biodiversity and bee preservation.

Their collections all see sustainable packaging efforts and, if you can’t see for yourself, trust me, that didn’t affect the beauty of their bottles. The Aqua Allegoria eau de toilette is a radiant woody floral with the vibrance of Calabrian neroli. Accentuated by vetiver, basil, and fig, the fragrance contains 95% natural origin elements. The Nerolia Vetiver is summer scent and I love that whenever I run out, I don’t need to buy another bottle. Instead, I grab the refill of the Nerolia Vetiver eau de toilette to extend the lifecycle of my product

The Limited edition Abeille Royale Advanced Youth Watery Oil is a stunning artistic creation by Tomáš Libertíny made to celebrate the bees and continue to guide Guerlain’s sustainable commitment. A powerful product, the oil is derived by the most powerful bees to make your skin look plumper and visibly younger.

I’ve been using the Sun-kissed Natural Healthy Glow Powder for years. It has a soft and blushing glow that just makes you look the right amount of tanned and healthy. A natural origin formula, I go for medium-warm, but they have 6 options, each of which have that beautiful terracotta motif and layered look for your skin.

The KissKiss Bee Glow is also a 98% natural-origin honey tint balm. Regenerating and hydrating, this long-lasting balm gives a nice colour to your lip while also working its bee magic, which makes it a cross between makeup and skincare. I opted for the Lavender Glow as part of their syrupy 6 floral shades for the season, but I have a counter filled with KissKiss lipsticks and balms, each more sumptuous than the next!
