Denis Gagnon
Known for his “couture” approach to leather, precise cuts and talent to create airy and spectacular silk pieces, Denis Gagnon is one of the most renowned Canadian designers of his generation. His shows are inventive and anything but standard. He has collaborated with, among others, Holt Renfrew, La maison Simons, and the prestigious Lancôme cosmetics. Denis is also the first Canadian designer to have made his debut in 2010 at the Museum of Fine Arts in Montreal to present "Denis Gagnon s'expose".
DNA is a series of events produced by the Arsenal to celebrate Québec's artistic creativity. DNA is a living organism where every from of contemporary culture meets to create an unusual multisensory experience. Contemporary art, fashion, dance, music and culinary arts fuse through a variety of amazing events held at Arsenal.
Last Saturday, June 7th, Denis Gagnon took over Arsenal and showcased his personal and creative world. Fashion, informal parades, music, dance, food and drinks were on hand for an eclectic evening hosted by Denis himself.
At 11pm the party started with army themed dance performances while the crowed grooved to retro tunes from Plastic Patrick and house classics of Christian Pronovost, surrounded by giant screens projecting art.
