The BA&SH experience

It’s been a minute since I went visited New York City and wow can I say with absolute certainty that I missed that city! I especially missed the city during New York Fashion Week. This year, I came down to experience a bunch of brands, one of which is my beloved bas&sh.

I’m a long-time lover of ba&sh: the feminine energy mixed with the strong silhouettes and prints. I love the way it fits on my body, the flowy feel and extraordinary patterns that just take my wardrobe up twelve notches. I visited the New York store for their Fashion Week activation and shopping event at the Nolita location.

Before I left, I grabbed a few key pieces and pulled together two looks. The Milla blouse and Marnie skirt fit seamlessly together to make a stunning floor-length dress-vibe. A cross between bohemian and urban chic. The geometric influence sways between animal and floral and I love that the pattern just makes you stop and think.

The look inspired me to hit our Montreal streets and head to a flower shop for a beautiful bouquet to complement the look. But I didn’t stop there. My second look was more NYC inspired – mixing and matching everything from flowy and polka-dots with denim and a slick black bodysuit. Creating a silhouette with the Debra midi skirt was easy, it snugs just right and has that Spanish vibe. Paired with the Dilara cropped jean jacket, I infused that yang energy for contrast.

I always say that when you find a brand you love, everything they design feels like it was made for you – that’s how I feel about ba&sh. I love that I can dress casually or formal and feel like I walked out of the pages of a magazine. Two outfits that bring out two sides of my fashion style but still feel like they are part of the same collection – few brands can pull that off. ba&sh does it each season!
