1 jacket 2 ways

Whenever I step into the Zadig & Voltaire store in Westmount, I am always hit with a wave of fashion inspiration. Imagine what it’s like to be in my head for just a minute: skirts floating in the air in a Mary Poppins-esque moment, matching up with flying t-shirts and accessories.

The whole thing feels transcendent. It’s like I am taken over and without even a thought in my mind, the outfits appear to me. That’s what it’s like to shop at Zadig & Voltaire, and don’t even try to tell me otherwise. For fashion week, I pulled a couple looks but I wanted to keep things streamlined. Same boots, same purse, same oversized shirt – like a fashion challenge, only the combinations felt infinite.

Both outfits were designed around the Troy Camou shirt. The colours bring out a more masculine energy to any outfit, with its loose fit and oversized feel. I rolled up the sleeves and leaned into the effortlessness of a casual streetstyle.

For my first street look, I paired a leopard skirt (similar linked here) with the Girls can do anything t-shirt. Something empowering about wearing a message that tells the world exactly how you plan to show up.

My second look had more of a playful and feminine feel. The Javala skirt worked perfectly with the Tom Voltaire Happy t-shirt. The pinks played well off each other and then the boots and camo shirt created contrast and dynamism.

Zadig & Voltaire are known for that denim rocker / flowy dress spectrum. They’ve got it all and they do it with their signature feel. Their collections always resonate with my style and I love that they are always on trend in their own classic way. I have pieces from Zadig & Voltaire that have been in my closet for years – the quality is sensational and the look is still on point. My Troy Camou shirt will for sure stand the test of time.
