January Faves

Fresh new year, fresh new products. I’m all about rebooting my beauty counter and making sure I only use what fits best with the season. And so here we are… our lovely winter wonderlust – cold, dry, and all things freezing. What does that mean for my beauty routine? Scroll and see! Here’s my January top 10:

Everyone knows I spend a nice amount of time in front of the mirror pulling at my hair and styling it straight, curly, wavy, beachy, whatever the mood inspires. The Mint Curling Iron 1.5-inch Easy Long-Lasting Waves is exactly what the name describes. Easy, long-lasting waves! The perfect barrel size for those gorgeous, effortless beach waves.

Josie Maran has a permanent spot on my counter especially with her Intensive Daily Repair Body Butter. Nothing like some intense body butter to repair this winter skin. Colloidal oatmeal and argan oil for that healthy, natural feel – and did I mention it smells absolutely divine! You can use it daily, but if you’re anything like me, you’ll use it morning, day and night!

The Luminous Silk Face and Under Eye Concealer by Armani Beauty corrects, highlights, conceals and leaves you looking radiant. Yes, all that from one single concealer. It is possible. I love how this concealer is non-drying so it doesn’t get cakey or flakey, which means nothing gets stuck in those undereye creases.

When we are in the dead of winter, nothing says the promise of a warm sunny day like Summer Fridays. Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask hydrates and calms your skin reducing the appearance of fine lines and promoting even skin tone. It also has the placebo effect of making you think summer is closer than it really is, lol!

The Chronologiste Youth Revitalizing Blow-dry Car by Kérastase is one of those steps you don’t want to miss. When you’re ready to heat activate, first add a protective cream to ensure your hair doesn’t age. Yes, that’s a thing!

When Chanel puts out a product, you better believe I want to try it out. Well, let me tell you – Les Beiges Water-Fresh Tint is such a sumptuous foundation with a gel texture that leaves you looking glo-wesome! A few droplets and blend, blend, blend, dab, dab, dab!

Dyptique is life. I could stop there, but I’ll elaborate. Whether it’s a gift, a bathroom decoration, or your new go-to fragrance, Dyptique does it all. The Eau Rose Eau de Toilette is the perfect infusion of demascena and centifolia, rosy and delicate, you’ll feel like you’re in an underwater botanical garden.

Not all masks are created equally, and the Guerlain Abeille Royal Honey Cataplasm Mask is in a league of its own. Inspired by honey dressings, this mask will reduce the appearance of fine lines (are you seeing a theme this month!), nourish that dry skin, and build up the loss of firmness. I love that this mask adheres to the skin and molds to the face so you can just sit in it while watching TV, reading a book, writing a blog (wink, wink!). It’s got natural bee healing substances… try it out for yourself, you’ll bee so happy!

I don’t usually list carry cases in my top ten, but the TISSU QUOTIDIEN Chace’ Case in Linen was too good not to share. Chace is the signature carrying case that is that perfect carry all… I’m telling you, I use it for weekend trips up north and leave it on my counter filled to the brim with all my favourites. You can personalize it, which I love, mostly because that means it’s the perfect gift!

When I say this accessory goes with everything, I mean it goes with absolutely everything! The Rainbow Road Necklace by yours truly, Mademoiselle Jules (yup, that’s me!) is one of my faves - it pairs with everything. The perfect necklace to spruce up a day outfit, adding the right amount of colour and playfulness, but also perfect for evening wear, I mean the detail, the gold, the sparkle… it is the perfect wear-with-all!
