Fall in Love with Zadig & Voltaire

It’s always been about mixing and matching for me. Whether it’s patterns and textures or genres and colours, I’m big into cross-over looks that blend seasons, have a focal point, and build a look that stands the test of time.

That’s where Zadig & Voltaire comes into play – I’ve been a long-time super fan… I mean I probably have upward of, well, too many pieces to count. And I just find I wear and rewear my Zadig & Voltaire pieces over and over and over.

Season-agnostic, timeless, and edgy in the right kind of feminine way, I really found a brand that exudes the style guide I preach.

Every chance I get, I pop into their Westmount shop and browse the floating shelves. I find so much inspo from everything in there. And whenever I take to the dressing room, I always come out with a couple pieces I absolutely cannot live without.

Like this sweater. I mean, I can write an entire ode to this Ella cashmere jacket. It’s everything. It’s texture, it’s layered, it’s fringe, it’s storied, the colours are on point and it just works with absolutely everything. Knit, geometric, and so cozy, it’s the essential sweater/jacket you never knew you needed.

A great graphic tee can tell a whole story. Whether it’s a band t-shirt or a phrase you live by, I love a crisp white t-shirt to create an edgy look. It’s one of those easy style tips. I paired the Walk Blason t-shirt with the Janais Jac Skirt and basically took a casual top and made it more street and more feminine. I love the front tie and the tone-on-tone provides depth and richness to the look.

By mixing the subtle pattern from the skirt with the in-your-face pattern of the sweater, I think the look really creates a vibe. Very chic, yet very wearable. I threw on my fave Mademoiselle Jules custom purse I got made while in NYC for Fashion Week many moons ago. The gift that keeps on giving, I’ve worn this purse on many days in many ways. Tack on the Military-style boots and I think the look is complete. What do you think?
