Mixed Metals By Mademoiselle Jules

The age-old fashion puzzle: should I do silver or gold? My hot take is that one should never have to choose. Mixing and matching is the ultimate way of saying that metals are meant to be worn together and if executed with precision, the blend of colour can truly elevate an outfit beyond editorial.

Mixing is life and that’s why I created the Mixed Metals parure – complete with necklaces, rings, earrings, charms, and a brooch – the line boasts high-end, stylized gold and silver options that can go classic, in-your-face, trend-ready, and completely personalized.

One of the staples in each of my drops is a new collection of charms. What I love about the Mixed Metal parure is that it’s more than just mismatching two different charms; it’s about the same charm in two metals. From A Star is Born and Ballin’ to Cold Heart and Spice it Up, the earring charms all come in silver and gold and can be worn on their respective Jess Hoop colour… or not! In the case of Light My Fire – the explosion of all metals fuse together to create a synthesis of bright and dazzle – legit, they are beyond, if I do say so myself.

With the high request of silver, I went full force when it came to ring selections. I’ve always believed that wearing a combo of gold, silver, diamond, pearl, even rose gold worked well on a hand, especially if the mani is on point. When it came to designing the rings, I went monochrome but with colour options. So each ring comes in either silver or gold (for now!) and you can choose to style them together or stay in one colorway.

The Heart on my Sleeve and All Smiles rings are more than just a cutesy nod to emojis and Y2K style – they are fashion-forward in a throwback sort of way. I love the bulk yet daintiness of each piece. Completely gender fluid, age-agnostic, and appealing to all style profiles, IMHO.

The Brooch was always a big idea for me. I’ve been a long-time lover of vintage, classic, sophisticated jewelry and a brooch is my nod to all of that. I simply love the twenties vibe of a trench coat pinned with a stunning brooch and what’s unique about this Basic Brooch is that, like all of my pieces, it can be styled any way you choose because the charms are yours to build on (my personal fave are the Silver Lining Charms).

The versatility and the longevity of a piece that can be revamped so simply with the switch of a charm, truly appeals to the trendster within.

Finally, what I believe is the focal point of the Mixed Metal parure is the All in One Necklace. Here’s the thing: you can break it apart and build it back up again to make it completely (and uniquely) yours. Half silver, half gold, or dripping with charms, elongated by combining, I mean, the options are totally infinite.

Paired with the William Necklace by either styling or clasping them together – that’s the point of this drop… the more pieces you start to accumulate, the more playful you can get with the endless style options. If there’s one thing By Mademoiselle Jules has satiated within, it’s the big idea that style is whatever you want it to be, and the bigger your sandbox, the more fun your playground!
