My Super Oatmeal Breakfast

I’m a bit of a creature of habit, so morning routines are quite simple, especially when it comes to food. I like to start my day off with water, fruit and a hearty meal so that I can conquer the day Oatmeal is jam-packed with high fibre and antioxidants, it’s gluten-free (so you won’t feel clogged), and it’s is so deliciously satisfying. My kids love it too, which makes breakfast time super-efficient.

There is a straightforward oatmeal approach – think steel-cut oats or overnight oats – or there is my favourite, which is the Qi’a Superseeds & Grains mix (this packet is gluten-free, has NO sugar or salt added and has 36g of whole grains). It’s a superfood oatmeal that comes equipped with chia, buckwheat, hemp and quinoa. Then, I make a few additions to spruce things up a notch or two.

The Qi’a Superseeds can be prepared with milk or water and can be warmed in the microwave or stovetop OR with boiled water.

So here’s how to prep your morning oatmeal Jules style:

*Ceylon cinnamon is known as the true cinnamon – high in medicinal properties such as antioxidants, and acts as an anti-inflammatory.

**Bee Pollen is not to be confused with other bee products (like honey). It is traditionally used to reduce inflammation and is packed with nutrients, amino acids, vitamins, lipids and over 250 active substances.

Eat up, enjoy and stay healthy!
