The Loa Label Trend

I’ve always been and always will be a strong supporter of shopping local. Our city makes it easy to sustain a local fashion file given our tremendous selection of one-off boutiques and shopping streets. Montreal is known for being a super stylish city, and when it comes to unique, highly curated, trendy fashion – we’ve got it all.

Even in a pandemic, I’ve seen women pop up on their Instagram feeds fully styled to the nines, whether in a photo-ready outfit or in an eye-catching sweat suit set, people still want to fluff and puff and feel put together. I don’t know about you, but when I hit a Zoom meeting, I don’t just turn the computer on and go, I get ready! I apply my makeup, do my hair and throw on something stylish – at least from the top down, lol!

When I heard of Loa Label I was instantly sold. Their blazers are stunning. The fabric, texture, cut and fit are all meticulous and highly flattering. I am personally obsessed with the gorgeous gold-button, white blazer I paired with a casual denim look.

Don’t get me wrong, I do not get ready every day as though I were leaving the house. Most days I’m hitting athleisure wear like it’s nobody’s business. But, on those occasion where I need to be in an online meeting, it’s my business to look stylish. Nothing says professional like a well-tailored blazer.

Designed and made in Montreal, Loa Label is yet another perfect example of the creativity, artistry and craftsmanship that we boast and are so well known for out here on the East Coast. Accentuating all the right places, the fit is complimentary and you can feel the hours spent on the construction of each blazer. I am so excited to include Loa Label as yet another example of our city’s finest when it comes to fashion.

Loa Label has also taken a cue from our time: they’ve got masks! Like most fashion brands, their masks are not medical grade, but they are mindful of our situation and are helpful in social situations. They remind us not to touch our faces, they cue us so as to refrain from getting too close others AND they come in super cute patterns… just saying. Everyone’s talking about the new normal, and well, masks are the future, so jump into the trend!

I’ve been asked so many times if I miss my work and “real life.” The truth is, in my line of work, I’m kind of still doing my thing. Of course, the grind has slowed down to a sloth-like rhythm, but that hasn’t stopped me from finding my way back to the basics: sharing fashion with my people. I still wake up inspired every day. I still pull looks (whether I wear them or not). I still hit the shops (online) to peruse and find my favourite picks. And, I still love sharing all my ideas, my finds, and new exciting trends with anyone else who loves fashion as much as I do!
