A classic summer look

Some outfits aren’t styled simply for fashion, they’re styled for vibe. That’s how I feel about a classic oversized shirt acting as a beach or pool cover up.

Pulled over the Catalina bikini top by Ulla Johnson, the overshirt has an easy fit that pairs well with boyfriend jeans. All buttoned up and French tucked, the shirt is versatile and honestly is a go-to wear-with-all for my summer wardrobe, but nothing beats the breezy feel of Xirena Scout Shirt loosely draped over a bikini.

Sometimes I do a kaftan or a sarong, but my ultimate fave is a loose shirt. Maybe because it offers some warmth when the wind kicks up post swim, but I think it’s more because it just completes such an urban look to a beachy vibe.

Rolled up sleeves, length that cuts just right, I love everything from the fit to the summer whites. Pulled over the floral bikini top and Ulla Johnson Bijou Shorts, the look feels complete for drinks by the pool or prepping snacks in the air-conditioned kitchen!

Whether you’re in your home city just hanging by a friend’s pool or traipsing around some European town, no beach look is complete without jewels. Accessories just kick things up to another level, am I right? I paired my laidback look with everything from pearl necklace and earrings to gold chains and rings – all Mademoiselle Jules Jewelry.

Now let’s talk sandals. A classic pair of sandals can last you more than one summer season – if you shop right, you can carry your sandals throughout multiple summers and vacations. I grabbed a pair of apricot Suede Nordic Sandals by Manebi and I simply love the mix of that elevated Birkenstock look with a European espadrille feel. They also have some stunning wedges and other sandals to check out!
